Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has finally wrapped filming after dealing with multiple delays over the last 21 months.

The superhero film started filming in June 2020, and has experienced multiple setbacks since.

Chadwick Boseman, who played the titular character in the superhero franchise passed away on August 28, 2020, just weeks before he was scheduled to begin pre-production for the film. The sad news was the first of many delays for the movie.

The film was also delayed when Letitia Wright, who plays T’Challa’s younger sister Shuri, suffered an on set injury in Novemeber. Cinematographer Autumn Durald also confirmed the news earlier by posting an Instagram story of a cocktail with the caption, “The End.”

“Black Panther hairstylist Nikki Wright took to her own Instagram account to celebrate the wrap of the movie. “Day 117 or 88 was so many things #blackpanther #2 #location #workcation #hairstylist #travel #puertorico,” she wrote alongside a photo of her posing amongst palm trees.
