The Blind Boys of Alabama will be taking to the stage in Sydney, bringing their gospel sound to the city before hitting up Bluesfest.
The original group met singing in the 1930s at the Alabama Institute. Since then, the group has persevered through several decades to become a defining part of gospel and soul music in both the 20th and 21st centuries. Their latest record Talkin’ Christmas comes as a collaboration with fellow Bluesfest artist Taj Mahal.
It all goes down at the Factory Theatre on Saturday April 2. Tickets through Ticketek.
