Bob Odenkirk has shared a health update following a heart-related incident which saw him collapse on set while filming the final season of Better Call Saul.

Days after the incident, Odernkirk’s reps confirmed that he was stable. However, the TV star hadn’t yet addressed the issue himself.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Odenkirk shared a positive update, one which left many fans feeling relieved. Despite the seriousness of the situation, Odenkirk managed to weave his trademark sense of humour into the post, joking that people have been saying he makes the world a better place.

Odenkirk wrote: “I am doing great. I’ve had my very own It’s a Wonderful Life week of people insisting I make the world slightly better. Wow! Thank you, I love everyone right now but let’s keep expectations reasonable!”

Odenkirk’s loyal fans have agreed that he, indeed, does make their life better. Many fans took to the comments section to praise the effect that his acting roles have had of their lives.

“Our expectations are unreasonable because you make such a difference in lives. You don’t know me but your performances make me happy. You seem to be such a decent human and those who know you attested to this. All the best for a speedy recovery!” wrote one fan.

“You don’t just improve the world; what you create and produce is a service to humanity, a warning and buttress against becoming our worst selves. Your work is witty, prescient, thought-provoking, but most importantly, it’s timelessly funny,” added another.
