Since coronavirus is still causing us to have to stay indoors and away from cocktail bars, we wanted to let you know that you can make bougie cocktails at home by simply using your SodaStream.

2020 has sucked, there’s no doubt about that. With doors to our favourite cocktail bars closed, we’re having to be a bit more creative when it comes to getting our fancy drink on.

Luckily, if you’re a SodaStream user, you’ve got an incredible asset right at your fingertips, and can make your very own fancy cocktails right from the comfort of your own home.

Plus, you won’t have to worry about creating as much waste from using those pre-made soda water bottles, and can simply make your own fizz at home. Pop a reusable straw into your cocktail, and sipping has never been prettier.

From fruity, to cola-y, and some featuring a bit of spice, there are an infinite amount of cocktails that you can whip up at home with your SodaStream, but here’s a little book of recipes for you to whip up now while we await for 2020 to simply fade away.

Ingredients:

  • 15ml/1 ⁄2oz. SodaStream Orange syrup
  • 30ml/1oz. Gin
  • 15ml/1 ⁄2oz. cherry liqueur
  • 15ml/1 ⁄2oz. herbal liqueur
  • 15ml/1 ⁄2oz. lime juice
  • 30ml/1oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 dash bitters
  • SodaStream sparkling water

Method:

  1. Add all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker (except the SodaStream sparkling water). Fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice.
  2. Top with SodaStream sparkling water and add a cherry on top.
  3. Garnish with a pineapple and cherry.
  4. Serve in a hurricane glass.

Watermellow

Watermellow Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 medium-sized watermelon cubes
  • 6-8 basil leaves
  • 25ml/3 ⁄4oz. simple syrup
  • 30ml/1oz. lime juice
  • 60ml/2oz. Pisco
  • Fresh ground peppercorn
  • SodaStream sparkling water

Method:

  1. In a shaker, muddle watermelon, basil and simple syrup.
  2. Add lime juice, Pisco and ice and shake vigorously.
  3. Double strain through a fine sieve and top with SodaStream sparkling water.
  4. Sprinkle a pinch of peppercorn on top.
  5. Garnish with a basil leaf boat and four seasons peppercorns.
  6. Serve in a martini glass.

Island In The Sky

Island In The Sky cocktails SodaStream

Ingredients:

  • Handful of sage
  • 25ml/3 ⁄4oz. simple syrup
  • 25ml/3 ⁄4oz. lime
  • 25ml/3 ⁄4oz. pineapple puree
  • 45ml/11 ⁄2oz. aged Rum
  • 15ml/1 ⁄2oz. yellow Chartreuse
  • SodaStream sparkling water

Method:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, shake all of the ingredients vigorously.
  2. Double strain through a fine sieve and top with SodaStream sparkling water.
  3. Garnish with sage and edible flowers.
  4. Serve in a highball glass. 

Gone With The Breeze

Gone With The Breeze Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • Handful of hyssop
  • 15ml/1 ⁄2oz. agave syrup
  • 25ml/3 ⁄4oz. lime juice
  • 45ml/11 ⁄2oz. Tequila
  • 15ml/1 ⁄2oz. Fino sherry
  • 2 dashes celery bitters
  • SodaStream sparkling water

Method:

  1. Add all the ingredients (except the sparkling water) into a shaker.
  2. Fill with ice and shake vigorously.
  3. Double strain through a fine sieve into a glass filled with ice.
  4. Top with SodaStream sparkling water.
  5. Garnish with a tajin rim, and lime wheel.
  6. Serve in a lowball glass.

TropiCola

Tropicola cocktail SodaStream

Ingredients:

  • 30ml/1oz. white Rum
  • 15ml/1 ⁄2oz. Soda Press Co. Syrup Blonde Cola
  • 15ml/1 ⁄2oz. lime juice Vanilla pod, cut down the center
  • Pinch of finely grated ginger
  • SodaStream sparkling water

Method:

  1. In a cocktail shaker add all the ingredients (except the SodaStream sparkling water) and shake vigorously.
  2. Double strain through a fine sieve into a lowball filled with ice and top with the SodaStream sparkling water.
  3. Garnish with a lime wheel and fresh ginger.
  4. Serve in a lowball glass.
