Guzman y Gomez has kicked the new year off with a bang with the announcement of their Breakfast Taco.

Yep, it seems breakfast just got a whole lot more fun thanks to the newest addition from everyone’s favourite Mexican restaurant.

To break it all down, the Breakfast Taco consists of a tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, melted Jack Cheese, Pico de Gallo and jalapeño ketchup.

As if that wasn’t game-changing enough, the taco can also be topped up with the likes of bacon, chorizo or sauteed vegetables.

Guzman y Gomez founder and CEO Steven Marks explained in a statement that a taco seemed like the natural next step for their breakfast menu.

“Since launching breakfast in 2018, GYG’s Café Hola Breakfast restaurants have exploded. Our growing breakfast menu has become a customer favourite, and it’s only getting bigger!” he said.

“We know Australians love the GYG tacos, so we thought why not make them for breakfast? We truly believe this is the best Breakfast Taco, and we’re so excited to bring another unique addition to our affordable and growing breakfast menu.”

The Guzman y Gomez breakfast menu also features items like a brekkie burrito, churro toast and guacamole on toast.

In even more delightful news, the Breakfast Taco will only set punters back a cool $4.50.

On top of that, those in the mood for a full meal can look no further than the Brekkie Taco Combo, which includes a Breakfast Taco, hashbrown and medium coffee for $7.50.

Well, it’s safe to say my next hungover meal is looking pretty delectable.
