Brown Cardigan are celebrating a huge milestone: ten years of ‘Straya shitposting.

To be honest, it’s hard to even remember my Instagram feed ever without Brown Cardigan and without a doubt, it would have been a much gloomier place without it.

To celebrate the decade that was and also for locking in a nice cool one million followers, they looked back on 50 of their best posts. They said, “Cheers everyone, thanks a million for making it this far.”

“10 years I been doing this account, yep – even those times when someone didn’t like a post or two and made up rumours at kickons (probably) that we (there’s two of us) had “sold” the account and was under new administration. Silly pelicans.”

They continued, “We’ve survived the meme wars of 2013-14, special shout to FuckJerry for trying to overshadow us by creating the account beigecardigan, but the Australian people knew what was up and can tell the fakes from the frauds.”

In the same post, they also went on to thank their many loyal (and maybe also not as loyal) followers for sticking around. And of course, sending in the content to keep the page alive and thriving.

“A very special thanks to the accounts that have used BC as a shopping centre for mostly original content, which YOU guys send us, which – let’s be honest, for the most part is objectively funny (pretty shit) – those 3:45am posts are no good bruh.”

They also took a heartwarming moment to acknowledge that their presence on social media is now nothing to mess with. ‘Cause apparently their actually pretty tight with the app now.

“We’ve got zucked which was pretty fucked, but the nice people are @instagram are rootin for us now and tbh they’re quite lovely, cheers @zaacd. Anyway, on with the show, here’s 50 of the best, according to us, in no particular order.”
