The official entrance to the performance space is through a back door, because of course it is.

Sydney’s own glitzy, glamorous and resoundingly gross Kings Cross is set to recieve the cabaret treatment this year. Hidden Sydney, a performance designed to celebrate the lockout-laws affected suburb, will feature some 16 performers all playing tribute to the most colourful corner of our fair city.

The production promises to be ‘immersive’, so whether that includes audience interaction is yet to be seen – but even if punters only play a passive role, things are sure to get suitably pulse-quickening.

Hidden Sydney will be staged at The World Bar, and kicks off on Friday September 16 and runs through till Sunday October 9. More information is available on their website, here.
