New Theatre presents a new interpretation of Geoffrey Chaucer’s comedic masterpiece, The Canterbury Tales.

The first piece of literature written in English will be transformed by an exciting young team of theatre makers and feature a cast of community performers and personalities from across Sydney.

“This will be a dazzling variety night,” says co-creator Constantin Costi. “Our mission is to revitalise this incredible classic and to put it on the stage to entertain and enliven our audience.”

What once brought common people in Medieval England to the stage promises to be a rollicking, surreal and provoking night of entertainment.

The half medieval, half community TV talent quest is running from Wednesday July 15 – Saturday August 1 at New Theatre, Newtown.
