For those of you who couldn’t secure a getaway trip to Mexico for the long weekend, Sol Beer are salsa-ing into Potts Point with a pop-up cantina to satiate your spice desires.

The local Villa Bar & Kitchenwill be transformed into a Mexican haven, interior designer Ally Bercich vibing on Frida Khalo chic with more brazenness than the iconic Mexican artist’s unibrow. Raul Gonzales, owner of Kings Cross’ Backroom, says he is, “incredibly excited to get this up and running for Sol. We really want to bring that authentic side of Mexico, from the music to the décor, the drinks and of course the food.” Al Carbón, Sydney’s favourite “Taquiera on Wheels” will offer a menu evoking the BBQ pits of North Mexico, ready to be washed down with Sol beers and cocktails that patrons can spike with the freshest fruit.

The long weekend fiesta kicks off at 1 Kellett St, Potts Point on Thursday October 3 and runs until Sunday October 6. Lunch from 12.30-3.30pm and dinner from 5.30-9.30pm.
