The ex-wife and daughter of notorious crime figure Carl Williams have set up OnlyFans accounts in a move to help women own their feminity.
Carl Williams was a notorious drug lord back in the early 00’s and was sentenced to 35 years in jail in 2007 for ordering the murders of three rivals in the Melbourne gangland wars. He was murdered behind bars in 2010 and left behind his wife Roberta Williams and their daughter Dhakota.
This week, Roberta launched her OnlyFans account and amassed hundreds of followers within her first 24 hours on the platform. She has told Daily Telegraph that she turned to the content-sharing platform after she struggled to get a job anywhere else.
“I can’t get a normal job like anyone else,” Roberta told the publication.
“My dream job would be to work as an air hostess but I could never do that given my history. So I have no choice but to take matters into my own hands.”
“Other people have profited off of my image so why should I not be in control so that I can earn enough money to buy a forever home for my children, which is my main game here.”
Roberta said she believes she will receive some backlash for joining OnlyFans, a platform where photos and videos of a sexual nature are regularly shared, she doesn’t care what people think.
“I know people would have their thoughts on who I am but there are many misconceptions,” the mother said.
“My children all finished Year 12 and they have always had a roof over their heads. They have amazing work ethic and I am very proud of them.
Just a matter of hours after Roberta joined OnlyFans, her 21 year old daughter Dhakota launched a profile, too.
“This is something I’ve thought about for a long time, I really have put a lot of thought into it,” she said.
“Mum gave me the courage to do it. There is no shame in owning your femininity. I am proud of who I am and where I come from. It doesn’t hurt to show off your body. And importantly, I am in control over what I share.”
