MAFS star Carolina has admitted that she didn’t go on the reality show to find love, but instead to get exposure for her online business.

During a Q & A session on Instagram, Carolina was asked if she went onto MAFS to find love, and the follower labelled her as “very genuine”.

“No, I did not,” she replied. “The main reason for me was a bit of exposure for my business.”

Carolina runs an online store called Designer Bag Hire where she rents out bags. However, the reality star did say that while her primary intention wasn’t to find love, she did hope that it would happen on the show.

“You can’t help but fantasise about it and be like, oh you know, how cute would it be to have my very own fairytale on television,” she said. “There was hope there because at the end of the day, who wants to be single at 33?

She added, “So I did and still do want to find love and want to find my forever person. But in saying that, I did not go on MAFS with the only purpose of finding love. I think that you have to be pretty naïve and pretty silly to go on MAFS with the only purpose of finding love. Because when you look at the success rate from previous seasons, it makes no sense.”

Carolina was paired with Dion on the show, but the couple struggled to bond. While she was still coupled up with Dion, Carolina began to secretly hook up with co-star Daniel after his partner Jessica left the show. Dion didn’t find out about the tryst until the show’s “commitment ceremony” episode – and the admission caused many of the participants to walk out of the ceremony in disgust.
