The Cat Empire are currently on the lookout for fans to join them on stage for their upcoming national tour.

The band will be accepting entries from the general public, with winners personally chosen by the band.

“Entrants can play any instrument or even sing. We will work with whatever talent is delivered up. And they don’t have to audition with one of our songs. If we like the song they come up with, instead of them learning one of our songs, we will learn their song to perform on the night,” says frontman Harry Angus.

The band have committed to selecting at least one winner from each state, but said they will happily have a guest join them at each show if there are enough quality applicants.

Each winner will receive a backstage pass for them and a friend and will attend the sound check of the show to meet the band and rehearse the chosen song.

If you think you have what it takes to perform with The Cat Empire, visit the band’s website atthecatempire.comand submit an audition video of up to two minutes before Friday September 5. The tour will hit Sydney on Saturday October 18 at Hordern Pavilion.
