If you think reality TV rakes in the big bucks, wait till you find out how much the cast of The Challenge Australia are paid.

Being on TV and watched by millions (at least, in some cases) sounds like a pretty sweet deal, but the cast of The Challenge Australia might disagree. According to an ‘insider’ who revealed secrets from Network Ten’s new reality show to So Dramatic!, the cast isn’t being ‘paid anything’.

“They aren’t getting paid anything,” the source said, “Just a standard daily allowance to cover expenses.” According to the same source, everyone on the cast gets the same allowance, but people who stay longer tend to be paid more. The insider also alleged that Too Hot To Handle’s Harry Jowsy passed on the chance to appear on the show because of the low pay.

This comes shortly after MAFS star Jessika Power refuted claims that she was let go from the show due to pay disputes. Taking issue with a piece in Daily Mail Australia, which claimed that her fee was ‘slashed due to budget cuts,’ Power claimed that letting her go was a ‘creative decision’ on the producers’ part.

Sharing screenshots of the article on Instagram, Jessika wrote: “I had my contract signed, bags packed, everything ready and received a message from my manager stating that the American executives had made a creative decision to not include me on the show despite believing I am ‘good talent’. [sic].”

Turns out, Power might not even need The Challenge. During a recent podcast appearance, she revealed that a ‘bad month’ on OnlyFans got her $30,000. Pretty sweet deal, if you ask us!
