Charli XCX has announced a string of east coast headline shows to coincide with her performances at this year’s Groovin The Moo festival.

The British pop star will play shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Since cowriting and featuring on Icona Pop’s ‘I Love It’ in 2012, which earned a quadruple platinum certification in Australia, Charli XCX went on to cowrite and feature on Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’,which spent seven weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, sold seven million copies worldwide and received two Grammy nominations including for Record of the Year. XCX’s two solo hits have also achieved platinum certifications in Australia.

She will be joined by special guest, Adelaide hip hop artistTkay Maidza.

Charli XCX will take over the Metro Theatre on Wednesday April 29. Tickets go on sale Friday May 13 through Ticketek.
