Spongebob Squarepants and his underwater pals are about to drop one super groovy collab with the sneaker legends at Vans.
There’s so much to love about the Spongebob Squarepants show, especially the visuals. The colours are constantly popping, they’re always vibrant and it’s just a joy to watch.
And now Nickelodeon have brought the bubbly mood board to Vans to bring us a collab which celebrates all of the above. Think all of the Bikini Bottom bubbles and of course, Spongebob’s old stomping ground, no not the Krusty Krab – Jellyfish Fields.
And of course it’s not just about Bikini Bottom, it’s about the quirky characters who inhabit it. Think Spongebob’s best mate Patrick Star and of course the rest of the gang, including his beloved pet snail, Bikini Bottom’s own superheroes Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, Larry the Lobster and more.
But this isn’t just any old collab, it’s a part of Vans Customs, which means you take all of the above, mix and match them with an offering of prints and materials on their classic silhouette. Each pair will also be topped off with a yellow sock liner or you can opt for a Spongebob checkerboard tape.
And not only will the collab see us be able to whip up some pretty cool sneakers, it also features a capsule of clothing pieces including t-shirts, long sleeves and backpacks. Personally, I’m just here for the “Off The Wall” rainbow t-shirt. That’s iconic.
