The new trailer gives a sneak peak of Australia’s first film to feature a CGI character in a leading role.

Red Billabong is set to be the biggest Australian action film for 2016.

The thriller stars Dan Ewing (Home And Away)and Tim Pocock(Dance Academy)and is set in the Australian outback, where two brothers discover old secrets and family lies. As friends start to go missing they fear they are being stalked by someone… or something.

From the trailer we can see this film will be about more than hunting down a beast, but also dark secrets surrounding a drug circuit. And of course a love story, with the female lead played by Jessica Green (Lightning Point).

Red Billabongwill be in cinemas from Thursday August 25.
