If you went to last year’s Chillifest in Newtown, then you’ll understand why they need to have the St. Johns Ambulance on-site all day. Things get hot!

The event is back for its second year, being held at The Bank Hotel over the June long weekend.

There is a chilli eating competition, a hot sauce market, a range of chilli-inspired beers (you can vote on the best one, too), plus a bunch of special spicy food whipped up by the kitchen for this event.

Also, if you are brave enough to enter the chilli-eating competition, you’ll score a ChilliFest t-shirt to proudly peacock around in. What could be better?
