Warning: spoilers ahead for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Chris Evans seemed to enjoy the first episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, thanks to a major bombshell about Captain America’s virginity.

From Spider-Man’s pursuit of MJ to Thor’s feisty relationship with Jane Foster, the romances of superheroes has always been a subject of fascination for fans. Away from Peggy Carter, Evans’ character Captain America, or Steve Rogers, didn’t seem to fare too well in the romance department during his time in the 21st century though.

That led lots of viewers to wonder whether Mr Rogers remained a virgin before returning to the past to be with Peggy, and finally that issue has been addressed thanks to She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. During the premiere episode of the new Marvel TV series, the subject of Captain America’s virginity cropped up in conversation between Bruce Banner and Jennifer Walters.

As per The Direct, Banner revealed in a post-credits scene that Rogers “lost his virginity to a girl in 1943 on the USO tour.” So there you have it. Another intricate thread of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was unravelled. Thousands of Captain America super fans were able to finally relax.

And Evans also really enjoyed in the hilarious reveal. As the She-Hulk moment began to trend on social media following the premiere, he caught wind of all the fuss. Accompanied by the hashtag #shehulk, Evans sent out a tweet with three tears of joy emojis and one zipper-mouth face emoji. There was no need for actual words; the entire world knew what he meant with that tweet.

The virginity revelation shouldn’t have been that surprising really. As Captain America writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely recently made clear in an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, Rogers had quite a lot going for him. “He is not a choir boy, he’s a World War II veteran,” Markus pointed out, while McFeely noted that “if you look like that” and are “going city to city” meeting adoring fans, you’re going to be fine in the romance department.
