Chris Noth has reportedly been cut from the And Just Like That finale amid a slew of sexual assault allegations which have been made against him recently.
Noth is an integral character of And Just Like That‘s predecessor, Sex and and the City, he plays Carrie Bradshaw’s on-and-off love interest through out the series, who she ends up married too. Mr Big died in the first episode of And Just Like That and the entire series has been based around his death.
Shortly after the first episode of the new series aired, sexual assault claims against Noth came to light. In December , two women came forward to The Hollywood Reporter saying that they were sexually assaulted by the actor. After the news broke, a further three women have made similar accusations towards Noth. He has vehemently denied the claims.
“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false,” Noth said in a statement following the first two accusations. “These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross,” Noth said in a statement.
Paparazzi photos have captured footage of the And Just Like That finale being filmed, in it Carrie can be seen emptying Mr Big’s ashes into the Seine river. In the scene, Noth was reportedly due to return as a flashback for Carrie. However, Noth has reportedly had all of these scenes cut from the final episode of And Just Like That because of the allegations.
TV Line and Variety have both reported that Noth will no longer appear in the scene, like was originally planned. According to reports, editors of the series decided that the scene wasn’t significant enough to include.
