In today’s COVID-19 celebrity update, Chris Rock has reportedly contracted the virus.
The star took to Twitter to announce the news, also urging his followers and fans to get vaccinated.
He wrote on Twitter, “Hey guys I just found out I have COVID, trust me you don’t want this. Get vaccinated.”
As reported by the Guardian, Rock has been fully vaccinated and actually joked about he used “his celebrity” to get it done ASAP.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon he said, “You know, I skipped the line.”
“I didn’t care,” he continued. “I used my celebrity, Jimmy. I was like, ‘Step aside, Betty White. Step aside, old people… I did ‘Pootie Tang.’ Let me on the front of the line.’”
Not all celebrities have been in the same rush to get vaccinated, with Nicki Minaj kind of being the opposite. She’s in no rush at all.

Minaj who has not been vaccinated herself has recently come under a hell of a lot of fire for claims she has made about the vaccine.
She recently refused to attend the 2021 Met Gala due to its vaccination requirement, stating that she would not make an appearance because of it.
This isn’t what got her into trouble though, she shared what many have perceived as “misinformation”, that someone her cousin knows became “impotent” because of it.
She wrote, “My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent,” she wrote. “His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.”
Minaj also stated that she would also most likely get vaccinated at some point in the future.
