Christian Hull is set to celebrate all things being a hot mess next week with his appearance at Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

The “What A Mess!” tour will kick off at The Comic’s Lounge in Northcote on Wednesday, April 7th and will run through until Sunday, April 18th. Following his sell-out live debut of his Complete Drivel podcast, ‘What A Mess!’ marks Christian Hull’s standup comedy debut.

Hull has earned a devoted following through years of documenting his messy, beautiful life on social media. He’s crafted incisive and hilarious characters (including the wine mum’s favourite Trish), executed cutthroat parent parodies, and taken part in innumerous hijinks.

This week, Hull will unveil his long-awaited memoir Leave Me Alone, (which recently took the number one position on Booktopia,)

“Christian is a disaster of a human. He is afraid of the outdoors and almost everything else. This show is about those times he has had to fend for himself and it’s almost definitely ended in many near death experiences,” the event promises. “From his horrific fear of flying to shitting himself often, mostly in public. You’ll leave wondering how on earth he has managed to keep himself alive for so long.”

All shows on the Melbourne tour are 16+ and Christian Hull assures us that there will be “lots of dick jokes and swearing.” To grab your tickets to the event, head here.
