Former Love Island Australia contestant Sadee Sub Laban has been arrested for an alleged assault in Sydney.

As per the Daily Telegraph, Laban allegedly assaulted a teenager during Vivid Sydney’s opening weekend. He was reportedly seen arguing with another man at Circular Quay before a fight broke out, with onlookers attempting to break it up.

A teenager was treated on the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital with multiple facial fractures. The incident was reported to police shortly after.

Two days later, Laban turned himself into St Mary’s Police Station after police appealed for information about the incident. He’s subsequently been charged with reckless grievous bodily harm. Laban is out on bail and must appear at Downing Centre Local Court on June 22nd.

The former Penrith Panthers youth player took part in Love Island Australia last season but was quietly dumped from season three after some serious claims were made against him.

As discovered by So Dramatic!, over 20 women revealed similar stories about their experiences with Laban. “He makes people feel extremely uncomfortable, and he just does things that not many women would approve of,” one insisted.

A petition was even started to get him pulled from the Love Island Australia lineup, with someone noting it was “not okay to give someone this amount of fame/attention when he had such a bad reputation for obvious reasons.”

“He literally doesn’t know what no means,” wrote another Instagram user. “Lucky I’m strong but for someone else who isn’t as strong minded would of fallen victim to his BS. About time he got put on show. Poor form @loveislandAU (sic).”

After being removed from the reality show, Laban’s profile was removed from the official Love Island Australia website. He’s since denied all the claims made against him.
