While die-hard Friends fans can summon up quotes from the show upon request, Courtney Cox has admitted that she doesn’t even remember filming some of the episodes.

Friends is one of the most popular sitcoms of all time and spanned 236 episodes over 10 seasons. Speaking to New York Post, Cox admitted that she rewatched some of the episodes before filming Friends: The Reunion.

“I should have watched all 10 seasons because when I did the reunion and was asked questions, I was like, ‘I don’t remember being there,’” she said. “Yeah. I don’t remember filming so many episodes.”

However, while she might not remember every episode, Cox who played Monica Geller on the popular show, did reflect on a special memory that happened between the cast right before the first episode aired.

Friends director James Burrows took the six lead cast members to Las Vegas in 1994, just before the pilot of Friends was released.

“He gave us all $500. And he said, ‘I want you to take care, like, really take notice of this moment because it will be the last time that all six of you together can walk through a casino,’” she said. “And we were like, ‘Really?’ And it was true. We could never do that [again],” she said.

Cox added: “I mean, I don’t want to sound like, ‘Look at us.’ We’re not, you know, the Beatles. But people feel like they know you,” she said. “If we were all to walk down the street, six of us, it would be, I think it would be really interesting to people.”

Prior to the Friends reunion, Cox was the only leading cast member to not be nominated for an Emmy. While she was never nominated for her work on the original Friends, the reunion did earn her one for her work as an executive producer.

Cox told Entertainment Weekly, “Honestly, I am so happy that the reunion has been recognized because I think it’s terrific. Ben Winston did a great job and all of his crew.”

However, she says, “That’s not exactly the Emmy I was looking for. I’m being honest with you.”
