Self-proclaimed “DJ idiot” Tomás Ford is bringing his Crap Music Rave Party to Sydney next weekend, taking over Oxford Art Factory with the worst music to grace the venue since… oh c’mon now, we aren’t mean enough to finish that sentence.
If you haven’t been to one of Ford’s rave parties before, the rules… well, the rule is very simple: no good music is allowed. Simply request the worst songs you can think of, and Ford will drop them into his set, with Three Downs Doors and The Calling rubbing up against Aaron Carter’s finest work in an explosion of tacky taste, and ironic dancing.
This isn’t just a dude with an iPod either: there are lights, glow-sticks, balloons, video projections and all the stuff befitting of a rave featuring the work of Cut ‘N’ Move.
The whole thing happens at OAF on Saturday June 10. Tickets are available here
