It’s a pretty good day to be a vegan – or, at very least, a fan of plant-based foods – considering Crust has announced some new decadent meat-free additions to their menu.

The premium pizza retailer already has a plant-based section on their menu and has now released some new mouthwatering offerings. These menu items include pizzas called Beef Royale, Beyond Sausage and Shepherd’s Lie, and they’ve also added an Heirloom Tomato Salad.

Crust has catered for those in the mood for dessert too, by adding a delicious-sounding plant-based hazelnut chocolate ice cream by Connoisseur.

The pizzas aren’t your average plant-based concoctions, either. The ingredients will have even the most staunch carnivore’s mouth-watering, check each of them out below. Both Not Beef Royale and Sheperd’s Lie have vegan options available, which use vegan cheese instead of mozzarella.

Beyond Sausage – Plant based sausage, caramelised onion, mozzarella and roasted heirloom tomatoes on a tomato base, garnished with basil pesto, buffalo mozzarella and seasoned with salt and pepper.

Shepherd’s Lie – Seasoned plant based mince, roasted potato slices, mozzarella, rosemary, caramelised onion and shredded carrot on a garlic and tomato base. Topped with fresh herbs, parmesan cheese and a drizzle of truffle oil.

Not Beef Royale – Seasoned plant-based mince, roasted heirloom tomatoes, sliced onion and mozzarella on a tomato base. Topped with burger sauce and pickles.

Of course, it’s well known that vegan food often comes with a steep price tag, but the Crust plant-based pizzas won’t break the bank. A large pizza in any of the flavour – including the vegan options – comes in at a very reasonable $19.
