In a new podcast interview, Daniel Craig has sat down for a chat with Bruce Bozzi for his show, Lunch with Bruce, as reported by Consequence.

Among the topics covered including the James Bond franchise and other movies that Craig has starred in including Knives Out. The conversation also spanned outside of movies, including which bars Craig likes to frequent.

And on that, Craig said that he frequents gay bars as opposed to “hetero bars” because of the “aggressive dick swinging”. And this is actually the way Craig has been operating since he was “a kid”.

Craig said, “I’ve been going to gay bars for as long as I can remember. One of the reasons is because I don’t get into fights in gay bars that often.”

“I just got very sick of as a kid, because it was like: ‘I don’t want to end up in a punch-up.’ And I did. That would happen quite a lot. And it [a gay bar] would just be a good place to go,” he added.

“You didn’t really have to sort of state your sexuality. It was OK. And it was a very safe place to be.”

And besides not getting into regular punch-ons, Craig said that he also would end up meeting girls at gay bars too who were trying to avoid toxic masculinity at heterosexual bars.

“I could meet girls there,” he said. “Cause there are a lot of girls there for exactly the same reason I was there. It was kind of an ulterior motive.”
