As per a recent episode of Hot Ones, it turns out that David Harbour was really not a fan of the Byers’ family pet dog on Stranger Things.

David Harbour who we know plays Sheriff Jim Hopper on Netflix’s Stranger Things recently expressed during his appearance on Hot Ones that he really wasn’t a big fan at all of the Byers’ family pet dog.

“I hated that fucking dog. I hated that fucking dog so bad,” Harbour said.

He continued on, “Take after take it would like wander off or do something.”

Harbour then went on to reveal that he had some pretty sinister words to say to the show’s producers which reflected how much he really didn’t want the canine to be his fellow furry cast member.

The Stranger Things actor said he told the show’s producers on Hot Ones, “I walked up to them and I was like, ‘You know, the Byers should probably have that dog put to sleep next season.'”

He continued, “We never talk about it the whole rest of the show, but they just wind up not having a dog.”

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, this also wasn’t the first time Harbour expressed his dislike of the dog, he also once told UPROXX , “The dog was the worst on the set. There was a day with this dog that was the worst actor I’ve ever worked with in my life.”

He continued, “I walked off set. I’ve never done that before. There’s footage of me like, throwing a fit, going like, ‘I’m gonna be in my trailer!’ and just storming off, ’cause the damn dog wouldn’t do what it was supposed to do. It was just supposed to bark at a thing.”
