In case you missed it, Kim Kardashian has officially been locked in to be one of the next hosts of an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live.

Saturday Night Live used to be all about the comedians, not so much anymore, it’s more about comedians but also more about cultural icons who also have stuff to promote.

I mean they did let Elon Musk host the show. People weren’t necessarily happy, but they did it anyway.

Recently, actress Debra Messing has taken to Twitter to ask why Kardashian is going to be one of the hosts. And she doesn’t sound to happy about the whole thing.

Messing asked, “Why Kim Kardashian?”

“I mean, I know she is a cultural icon,” Messing continued, “But SNL has hosts, generally, who are performers who are there to promote a film, TV show, or album launch. Am I missing something?”

It’s unclear whether or not Messing thought that the internet would fully back her in, however the responses were definitely mixed.

Particularly as many actually feel that Kardashian is worthy of hosting the storied entertainment show.

One person said, Truth be told @DebraMessing, @KimKardashian just wrapped up what is likely the most successful & longest-running reality television show in history & is launching a new series on @hulu. That and her “side gigs” @skims@kkwbeauty made her a billionnaire. She is @nbcsnl worthy.”

Another said, “you mean are you missing something besides the massive cultural shift of the past, like, decade?”
