The touching and inspiring story of Anne Frank will be put on the stage this June.

The play, as written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, tells the story of Anne, her family and the Van Daans. Eight people who live in an attic, hidden away from the war-torn world outside. At the height of the Nazi regime in Germany, the lives of these Jewish friends is documented by 13-year-old Anne in her diary.

A heartwrenching true story,The Diary Of Anne Frankis an intricate look into the petty disputes, the personality clashes, and the little shared pleasures of her hidden life, and a testament to her resilience.

In association with the play, and to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Anne’s death, the New Theatre will also be presenting three very special events: an Intolerance Forum, a Holocaust Survivor Talk, and a Post-Show Q&A with the cast and director of the play.

The Diary Of Anne Frank will play at New Theatre from Tuesday June 9 – Saturday July 11. More information and tickets are available from New Theatre’s website.
