Dwayne Johnson is once again making waves on the internet suggesting that Marvel and DC could have a future together.

At the premiere for Johnson’s new film Black Adam, he has been dropping fan bombs all over the place.

Following a near onfirmation of the film featuring Henry Cavill’s Superman, he went onto discuss the possibility of Marvel and DC crossing over.

“Well I’m always an optimist,” Johnson says to Variety. “I would like to think we would see that. Because my philosophy is anything can get done. Let’s start at the end goal and if the end goal is to have some sort of cross-over that can be compelling, smart, cool for the fans but then let’s underscore that.”

“Let’s get a temperature gauge. If they would like to see something like that. And if they do, then let’s create it. So that’s how I think.”

“I am DC through and through. In the spirit of growing out the DC universe, I’m here to help in any way I can.”

This comes after months of dramas emerging in DC and Warner Bros. Discovery. Following the fan uproar after cancellation of Batgirl, Ezra Miller has also been the centre of several investigations leading to the rumour Miller might be out of the job after The Flash hits theatres in 2023.

James Wun’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was also hit with massive delays after the film allegedly needed more time to work on visual effects. However, more rumours suggest that the pushback was more to do with the Amber Heard court case that caught global attention. Insiders have suggested that Heard has essentially been cut from the film.

Perhaps a producer like Dwayne Johnson is just what DC needs to bring it back to glory.

This huge statement comes just shortly after Johnson teased the arrival of Superman in Black Adam.

“We’ve established Black Adam as the most powerful and unstoppable force on our planet,” he told Entertaimment Tonight. “But the fans have been so passionate about, as we have been, where is the most unstoppable force in the universe?”

“We’ve all been fighting for this moment, so I will say this: welcome home”
