This weekend saw Australia gain a new hero, a 17-year-old Victorian teenager affectionately known as Egg Boy. Egg Boy, real name Will Connolly, received international attention after he egged Brisbane Senator Fraser Anning over the disgraceful comments he made after the terrorist attack on a Christchurch Mosque.
If you haven’t seen the footage yet, watch it below. This may be one of the only opportunities you’ll ever get to watch a fascist politician get egged on national television.
This is the moment Senator Fraser Anning was egged by a protestor who snuck into a small meeting where he spoke about "fake refugees" and the "threat of immigration." @10NewsFirstMelb @10NewsFirst #Christchurch pic.twitter.com/FCeXrKwPXL

Obviously, the senator and his gang of yobbos reacted in the worst way possible. Senator Allen slapped Egg Boy around before his cronies put him in a headlock.
Since the incident, the internet has provided homage upon homage to the brave teen. There have been meme formats spawned and poems written. The music world showed their overwhelming support for the teenager with artists, festivals and promoters all offering Egg Boy free tickets to events. Now, the legacy of Egg Boy has been immortalised on a Melbourne wall.
Artist Van T Rudd has captured the moment the free-range egg hit Anning’s fleshy bonnet and slapped it over a wall in Melbourne’s famous street art hub Hosier Lane. Check it out in all its glory.
Sydney singer-songwriter Alex the Astronaut also shared a lovely poem honouring Egg Boy. “Egg boy is kind and saves us, From the hard boiled stupid racists.” Read the entire thing below.
