Love Island Australia star Emily allegedly got ‘permission from Tina’ – Mitch’s ex – to hook-up with Mitch.
The Tina Provis/Mitch Hibberd/Emily Ward love triangle just keeps on getting wilder and wilder. As reported by So Dramatic!, Emily Ward allegedly ‘got permission from Tina’ to hook-up with Mitch.
In case you’ve been out of the loop, Mitch and Tina won Love Island Australia in 2021, but broke up in February 2022. Days after, Mitch reportedly was spotted with Emily. During an appearance on Abbie Chatfield’s podcast It’s A Lot, Tina revealed that Mitch and Emily’s tryst had allegedly happened only five days after the two had broken up.
“I found out that about five days after we had broken up before we’d publicly announced it, that a certain couple of people had hooked up with each other,” she said. Later, in a Tiktok, Tina threw shade at Mitch and Emily, saying: “When he hooks up with the girl he told you not to worry about.”
With so much drama, Mitch and Tina returning to Love Island Australia was, in short, explosive, especially when it looked like the former couple were getting close again.
Now, however, a source claiming to be ‘close’ to Emily has told So Dramatic! that she did ‘nothing wrong’. “When she hooked up with Mitch and a few of the other Love Island guys, she was doing nothing wrong because she was single,” the source told the publication.
They then went on to claim that Emily had actually spoken to Tina about Mitch – which meant Tina’s shock at finding out about their hook-up was unjustified. “She also got permission from Tina [to hook up with Mitch]. She legit made sure everything was okay before anything happened. But then Tina made out like she was shocked.” the source said.

Speaking to So Dramatic!, the source also claimed that the subsequent harassment and slut shaming took a toll on Emily’s mental health. Moreover, the producers allegedly told Emily to go after Mitch for the drama factor.
“A lot of people have said that Emily was the reason for Mitch and Tina breaking up. However, since the show, Emily went completely off Mitch,” the source wrote.
