A highly-anticipated fantasy drama is among the highlights heading to Netflix as we enter the final month of winter.
August sees the arrival of an intriguing adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s classic comic book series The Sandman. After being stuck in development hell for over three decades, Netflix finally struck a deal to produce the fantasy drama a few years ago.
The series will follow Morpheus, the Dream King, who embarks on a journey across worlds to find what was stolen from him in a bid to restore his power. If you love comic book horror, this one’s for you.
On August 3rd, a docuseries looks at the infamous Woodstock ’99. Set to follow in the legacy of the 1969 original Woodstock, the 1999 version was instead marred by sexual assault allegations, looting, fights, and general mayhem.
Clusterf**k: Woodstock ’99 features unseen footage of the event, as well as interviews with the likes of Korn’s Jonathan Davis, Fatboy Slim, and the late Woodstock organiser Michael Lang. Watch this if you struggled with the mud at this year’s Splendour in the Grass and need some perspective.
