To celebrate Earth Day 2022, Aussie plant-based snack brand Fancy Plants is handing out free snacks and planting trees in Melbourne and Sydney.

This year’s Earth Day falls on Friday, April 22nd, with the important theme of investing in our planet. Fancy Plants has decided to do its bit for the cause by heading out on its ‘Plants for the Planet’ tour to encourage Aussies to eat more plant-based food.

A fancy dessert van will be hitting up Sydney’s Bondi Beach and Melbourne’s Federation Square this week (see full details below), with a whopping 20,000 free delicious plant-based snacks up for grabs.

All of the Fancy Plants snacks are plant-based and packed with positive nutrition such as calcium and prebiotic fibre – it’s good for the earth and good for you. Check out some of the tasty snacks that will be on offer:

Silky Pot – a smooth as silk chocolate pudding

Rice Pud – a plant-based twist on a classic rice pudding

The passionate plant pioneers have also joined forces with The Tree Project to plant some trees this week. While grabbing a delicious and free snack, people can also join the ‘Plants for the Planet’ initiative that will see at least 5,000 trees being planted on the day.

And if you get to Bondi Beach or Federation Square quickly, the first 100 people at each location will also be treated to an exclusive goodie bag brimming with eco-conscious products: there will be Da-sh, a sparkling water brand that helps reduce food waste, vegan skincare from natural beauty brand Edible Beauty, and veggie seeds from Little Veggie Patch.

If you can’t make it to Sydney or Melbourne for the van tour, you can still sign up to the ‘Plants for the Planet’ initiative where you could have a tree planted on your behalf via the Fancy Plants website here: https://fancyplants.com/au/
