Father John Misty, AKA songwriter Josh Tillman, has locked in a debut performance at the Sydney Opera House.

The sharply cutting Baltimore singer-songwriter’s second album, I Love You, Honeybear, landed earlier this year to rave reviews, and remains a contender for the inevitable end-of-year ‘Best Album of 2015’ lists. Misty’s work follows in the footsteps of John Lennon, Scott Walker and Randy Newman, all with a humorous undercurrent.

Father John Misty will play the Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House on Tuesday December 8. Tickets go on sale 9am Friday August 28.
