A new teaser for the fourth and final season of Killing Eve is out now, and there are hints that there might be an unhappy ending in store for Villanelle, Eve, and the gang.

The premier of the final season of the hit thriller will be released on February 27, 2022, with episodes set to air weekly.

The teaser picks up where season three left off: with Eve (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle (Jodie Comer) standing back to back on London’s Tower Bridge during the night.

Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) then begins her voiceover, stating: “Do you ever think what might have happened if we hadn’t done what we did?”

A quick montage of some of last season’s biggest moments then flash by on the screen, with Carolyn continuing: “People like us aren’t made for happy lives with happy endings.”

According to Deadline, the new season will show “Eve, Villanelle and Carolyn are in very different places. Following Eve and Villanelle’s exchange on the bridge, the former is on a revenge mission, while the latter has found a brand-new community in an attempt to prove she’s not a ‘monster’.

Having killed Paul, Carolyn goes to extraordinary lengths to continue to chase down The Twelve and the person that ordered Kenny’s hit.”

While we’ve been treated to our fair share of sneak peeks and teasers from the production, we can’t wait to see what the final season has in store for Eve and Villanelle, though we will be devastated when the show ends.

While there have been a lot of reports that BBC is planning a number of potential spin-offs, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
