A video of a flamethrowing drone has resurfaced and begun terrifying users of the internet once again. The video shows a drone flying above powerlines, using the attached flamethrower to burn an object caught on the electrical wires.

Gizmodo first reported on the use of this bizarre drone-flamethrower combination in Xiangyang, China last year. An electrical company used this fiery demon to burn off debris that was too difficult to be remove via cherrypicker. An interesting choice of technology.

Drone Zone

Drones have been popularised amongst photographers and hobbyists in the last few years, and the uses only continue to expand. Other uses for the flying spy cameras include patrolling for sharks on Australian beaches, being used at music festivals to monitor bad behaviour, and even murdering thousands of innocent civilians in the Middle East each year as part of the United States military’s ongoing “war on terror”!

The world has already gone to shit, so at least this flamethrower drone allows us to have a bit of a ‘laff before we have to face the reality of societal collapse.
