Splendour In The Grass headliners Florence + The Machine have previewed their festival set with a ‘secret’ lunchtime show on the shores of Sydney Harbour.

As warm-up gigs go, this one was a cracker – Florence Welch and co. performing for an exclusive group of competition winners and invitees at Mrs. Macquarie’s Point, overlooking one of the most iconic views in the world.

It’s been a big year for Florence, who’s not only headlined Glastonbury and released a new record, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, but also has just announced a return to Sydney Harbour for Forecourt performances at the Sydney Opera House in November.

She really does love it here, doesn’t she?

Today’s Sydney Harbour show featured a batch of songs from the new album, plus a selection of classics in acoustic format, including crowd favourite ‘Dog Days Are Over’.

And take it from us: she’s ready to blow Splendour away.
