A photo of Florence Pugh on set in Budapest for Dune 2 has leaked.
It’s been previously confirmed that Pugh will star in the Dune sequel, and the leaked image is the first sighting of her on set. Pugh is pictured on set wearing a white gown with a matching headdress. The 26-year-old is cast to play Princess Irulan in the upcoming film.

Dune – which starred Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Fergusson, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, and Dave Bautista was released last year and received critical acclaim. It made $400 million at the box office and won six Oscars.
The sequel was greenlit last October, and was initially scheduled for October 20, 2023 but has been pushed back to November 17, 2023.
Zenedaya, who was one of the standout stars from Dune despite her small part, will play a more prominent role in the sequel.
Dune Director Denis Villeneuve discussed Zendaya’s upcoming role on Variety’s Award Circuit podcast. “For Zendaya, I will say Part One was a promise,” said Villeneuve. “I know that we saw a glimpse of her in Part One, but in Part Two, she’ll have a prominent part. We will follow Timothée and Zendaya on their adventures in the desert. That’s the thing that excited me most about going back to Arrakis is to spend time with those characters again.”
Zendaya also spoke about developing her character in Dune 2.
“I want to grow with the characters I play,” she said. “With the people I get to lean on. Anybody who has read the books knows there’s so much more to explore and deal with.”
“What was cool for me, having not been around for much of the first shoot, was getting to see the movie from a completely fresh perspective, because I hadn’t seen the sets and the scenes for most of the movie. And watching it felt like the beginning of this story.”
