Never Did Me Any Harm premiered in 2012 at Sydney Festival but now it returns to the stage with director and choreographer Kate Champion (Not In A Million Years, The Age I’m In) overseeing its reproduction.
The fears and complexities of contemporary family life will be danced, voiced and performed at Glen Street Theatre by creatives from Sydney Theatre Company.
Drawing inspiration from Christos Tsiolkas’ bestselling novelThe Slap,Champion and her company interviewed people of all ages and backgrounds for their opinions on what makes a good parent.
The play will challenge and pose questions surrounding parenting: is the pressure to get it right overwhelming us? And what is ‘good parenting’ anyway?
The cast includes Marlo Benjamin, Kristina Chan, Alan Flower, Tracy Mann, Josh Mu, Veronica Neave and Timothy Ohl.
Never Did Me Any Harmwill run from Wednesday August 17 – Saturday August 20 at Glen Street Theatre, Belrose. Tickets start from $47 and can be bought here.
