Food delivery service DoorDash has teamed up with McDonald’s to offer one lucky Australian free Maccas for an entire year.
The winner will receive $30 a week to spend on McDonald’s over the span of a year, which comes to a whopping $1560 of free fast food.
To enter, Maccas fans just need to post a photo to Instagram of themselves experiencing ‘Macca’s Brain’, with the hashtag #maccasbrain and tag @DoorDash_Aus.
If you’re wondering what ‘Macca’s brain is, let us assist. DoorDash describes it as “the phenomenon of seeing Macca’s golden arches in objects when really, really hungry.” So, for example, an entrant could upload a pic of a doorway that looks like a McDonald’s arch – but the more creative the photo is, the better your chances are of winning the free food.
The competition closes on 27 August 2022 at 11.59pm (AEST) and the winning will be informed on 30 August 2022.
While there will only be one winner of the free fast food, all DoorDash members can enjoy $0 delivery when purchasing Maccas through their platform. Membership costs $9.99 a month with a 30-day free trial, or $96 per annum.

That’s why we are so excited to provide DoorDash customers with more ways to enjoy their Macca’s favourites with unlimited $0 delivery fee through DashPass,” General Manager of DoorDash, Rebecca Burrows, said.

In other McDonald’s news, the fast food giant has recently added two souped-up variations of their Quarter Pounder burger to their menu. The Quarter Pounder with bacon, which graced Maccas menus back in 2019 has returned, and they’ve added a Quarter Pounder Deluxe, too. The Quarter Pounder Deluxe will have crispy lettuce and fresh tomato added to the classic.

“The Quarter Pounder is one of our most iconic menu items and much loved for its delicious flavour combinations and ingredients.
“We are excited to give Quarter Pounder fans even more variety with the addition of the new Quarter Pounder Deluxe and Quarter Pounder with Bacon.
“From crispy bacon to fresh lettuce and tomato, there’s something for everyone in this range.”
