HBO have just unleashed an epic teaser trailer for the final season of cult fantasy series Game of Thrones. The trailer aired last night, just before the premiere of season 2 of True Detective. It has also revealed when fans can expect the first episode.
The six-episode final season will premiere on HBO on April 14th 2019. So gather all the Game of Thrones enthusiasts you know and put out a delicious medieval spread of ale and pork pies. Also if you, like me, can’t remember a single thing that’s happened in the previous seasons, use these next few months to rewatch the show in all its glory.
The cryptic teaser trailer sets up a reunion between the Stark children in the underground at their family home of Winterfell. When everything eerily begins to freeze over. Winter is well and truly here bitches. The trailer doesn’t give anything away and leaves us asking a million questions. Like, where the fuck is Bran?
Very little has been revealed about the upcoming season but HBO chief Richard Plepler told Variety: “It’s a spectacle. The guys have done six movies…They knew the bar was high. They’ve exceeded the bar… Everybody’s in for an extraordinary treat of storytelling and of magical, magical production.”
