Californian native Chris Cuffaro is one of the most successful rock photographers in the world, having photographed everyone from George Harrison to Iggy Pop through to Nirvana to RHCP.

He was given amazing access during George Michael’s 1988 tour in support of the Faith record, and it’s these snaps that he is exhibiting in Sydney for the next few weeks.

Greatest Hits: George Michael Exhibition opened this Tuesday at the Black Eye Gallery on Darlinghurst Road, and will run through to January 28, every day from 10-6pm (aside from Monday Jan 22, for whatever reason).

As per the exhibition bio: “The illustrious collection of powerful images found in the George Michael collection showcase remarkably raw insight into the artist. The retrospective showcases 45 never-before-seen images, official publicity, behind-the-scenes, live shows, promotional; and video images of the late star.

“It will be an exhibition for George Michael fans to marvel in, and skeptics to immerse themselves in.”
