For many people, when scrolling through the thousands of listings on Airbnb while hunting for their next staycation abode, a photo of a large, grassy yard – especially when it’s described as a Tropical garden oasis  – could seem appealing.

However, the appeal will likely be knocked down a peg when said searcher realises that the actual grassy yard itself is the accommodation.

This is the exact predicament some browsers have found themselves in while looking for a spot in Birmingham, UK.

Some savvy englander has taken it upon themselves to list their backyard as accommodation, with a few tents popped up around the garden. This rental – which is named a “Tropical garden oasis – unique camping experience” doesn’t come cheap either – costing a whopping $94 per night.

While $94 for a night in someones backyard probably sounds steep to many, there is one (kind of) redeeming factor: the rental period is during the Commonwealth Games this July/August.

The Sun has reported that one user, named Jordan, stumbled upon the listing and contacted the user to find out more information about the “unique camping experience”.

Jordan shared that the woman responded and said that the guest would have the entire tent to themselves, could go inside and use her toilet and that it’s possible to book a log heater for an additional $18.

Nonetheless, the description on the Airbnb page certainly is enticing.

“This lush tropical garden space, is available for a unique outdoor camping experience.
Lots of natural water features for you to enjoy, relax and observe. Great for hours of peaceful nature watching.

“Our evening lighting comes to life as daylight fades. Adding to the peaceful ambience,” it reads.

The listing also informs potential guests that there are six tents situated in the back yard. So, if you’re up for sharing a rando’s backyard with five to ten other randos in England, you can find the listing here.
