Grimes got more than she bargained for when she appeared as a guest on the latest episode of The Eric Andre Show. 

While it’s fair to say Grimes is known for being more than a little wacky (case in point: her son’s name), we can’t say we expected her to volunteer to be “tortured” on TV.

Filmed while she was still pregnant with X Æ A-Xii, her time on the talk show saw her appear in a special segment dubbed ‘Grimes and Punishment’.

During the segment, Grimes was casually tied up, tickled with a feather and “cheeseboarded,” A.K.A drenched in liquid cheese.

As reported by NME, Grimes’ appearance on the show came off the back of her calling it out for its lack of female guests.

In an interview with Complex, host Eric Andre explained he was hesitant to invite women on due to the show’s regular “torturing” segments.

“I’m always beating them with bats or electrocuting them, so it’s not a good look if I’m like torturing a woman,” he said.

“And [Grimes] goes, ‘Yeah, that makes sense but I wanna do the show. Fuck it, you can torture me!’”

Andre even went on to reveal that Grimes had not warned him she was pregnant while filming her appearance.

“I was like, ‘You just talked me into torturing a pregnant woman,’” he said. “And she was like, ‘Yeah, but it was fucking awesome!’”

It appears Grimes really did have no regrets over the experience, having taken to Twitter to personally thank Andre.

“Thanks @ericandre for letting me get tortured on the show!” she wrote, and hey, whatever floats your boat.
