The new event comes of the recent slew of new talent emerging from the Great Lakes region.

Forster will play host to the inaugural Grow Your Own festival, with Angus Stone’s latest solo project Dope Lemon set to feature alongside Jack River, The Ruiins, Jake Meadows, James Bennett, Galleri, Los Skallywags and Vanilla Gorilla.

Bringing together the best of NSW Mid-North Coast’s culture and homegrown produce, the festival was conjured by two former locals, in musician Holly Rankin and Mambo art director Lee McConnell. Itseeks to promote the steady stream of talent produced in the region, with seven of the eight bands involved having grown up in the Great Lakes area. With the event to be set in Club Forster’s backyard, it’s a local celebration arriving just in time for Christmas.

Grow Your Own will take place on Friday December 23. Tickets are now on sale athttp://www.growyourown.tv/
