Sydney’s reigning ramen kings Gumshara is set to flog a bowl of ramen hand-crafted by the gods.

Words will always fail to accurately describe the sacred magic of a bowl of ramen. The closest we’ve come to capturing the humble dish and all its mystique, and mythical sublimity is Tampopo — a masterpiece that would be stopped in its tracks if confronted by the revelatory creation Gymshara has up their sleeves.

The Haymarket institution is set to sling the most opulent serving of ramen we’ve ever seen. The ‘rags to riches’ ramen is made using over 15 kilograms of pork and lobster, a soft-boiled seasoned egg, bamboo shoots, spring onions and a sheet of golden nori. The heavenly creation is then topped with a full lobster, a tempura tail and a golden head to garnish. The kind of dish that plummets King Midas into obscurity.

The real kicker is, you won’t be able to purchase the ramen. For the soup was conjured up in collaboration with Five Star Games to celebrate the launch of the forthcoming Xbox and Playstation game Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

In order to score a chance to win the once-in-a-lifetime ramen, you’ll need to head to the @XboxANZ Twitter account. The competition is open until Tuesday, November 10th.

If you consider yourself a bit of a gaming connoisseur, we’ve got a bunch of competitions that may tickle your fancy. We’re giving away an Xbox, a PS5 and a Nintendo Switch. Head here to find out how to enter.
