Welsh electropop artist Gwenno has announced her first Australian tour.

Gwenno Saunders is a sound artist, DJ, radio presenter and singer from Cardiff. Before focusing on her solo career, Saunders wrote and performed for Brighton-based conceptual pop band The Pippettes, and was a touring synth player for Elton John and Australia’s own PNAU.

Her album Y Dydd Olaf (The Last Day) is a political concept album inspired by an obscure 1970s Welsh language sci-fi novel, disguised as a kraut-pop record.

Check out Gwenno’s track below.

Gwenno will be touring as a three-piece with the Sydney show at Newtown Social Club on Thursday October 13. Tickets are $28 and can be bought here.
