Hannah Gadsby will return to Sydney Opera House for a series of shows at Joan Sutherland Theatre in December, in support of her new special ‘Body of Work’.

In 2018, Hannah Gadsby transcended from hometown hero to global sensation after the release of her landmark Netflix special Nanette. The special saw Gadsby pick up both an Emmy and a Peabody. Although Nanette was meant to be a swan song of sorts, opportunities dragged her out of retirement and she persevered.

In 2019, Gadsby wrote and toured the critically-lauded Douglas, which was recorded for a Netflix special in Los Angeles in February 2020. During the pandemic, Gadsby has been bunkering down in Australia, where ‘Body of Work’ was born.

This will be the last chance for Gadsby’s Australian fans to see her for quite some time. After these Opera House shows, Gadsby will jetset off for the international leg of her tour, with shows in London’s West End and in Paris, Milan, Berlin and Barcelona. Her US tour is soon to be announced and will keep Hannah out of Australia until next winter.

General public tickets for ‘Body of Work’ will go on sale 9am, Friday, October 29th. You can find all the relevant details below.
