Because 2020 wasn’t already leaving me retching and clenching my stomach in agony, Heinz has decided to pain me even more by releasing a limited edition ice cream line featuring flavours like ketchup, mayo, bbq, salad cream, and whatever tf saucy sauce is.

You could have vanilla, you could have strawberry. Heck, you could even have chocolate ice cream with potato chips chucked in, and it’ll still be good, but who in the heck thought up of mayo or salad cream flavoured ice cream? Well, apparently Heinz in the U.K. have, and please excuse me while I vomit.

In an actually serious post made to Instagram, Heinz revealed the latest treat they’ve been working up for summer time in the United Kingdom, and that it’s all to do with ice cream.

“Bringing you the ultimate scoop, we present Heinz Creamz,” the sauce making head honchos wrote. “A DIY ice cream kit and recipe, with an added summery squeeze of one (or more!) of your favourite Heinz Sauces.”

Y’know, I want to give this the benefit of the doubt. I know sweet and savoury mixtures are pretty good, like how pretzels and M&M’s go hand-in-hand, but having a mayonnaise flavoured ice cream on a hot day really just sends my tum into twists and turns.

Five flavours have now hit their online shop where you can be sent all the ingredients you need to either make a savoury tomato sauce scoop, or perhaps you would want to try mayonnaise, salad cream, bbq, or ‘saucy sauce’ in cold, lickable form.

To be honest, I can see where they’re going with their bbq flavour, as they unveiled it via Instagram noting that it packs a punch when teamed up with “maple syrup, pecans and a sprinkling of bacon bits.” But the other flavours? Nah.
